Carratos was a planet in the Inner Rim Territories, roughly 40 parsecs from Coruscant.

Heavily urbanized, Carratos was a planet chosen by the Fallanassi to be a place of refuge for some of their youngest initiates while they were being persecuted on Lucazec. Akanah was sent to a school in the Chofin settlement. Around this time, Carratos was subjugated by the Galactic Empire around 10 BBY. The Empire established a heavy garrison and trapped its residents with high taxes for departure. When the Empire collapsed and the garrison withdrew, Carratos spiraled into crime and became home to many pirates.
