Carratos

Carratos was a planet in the Inner Rim Territories, roughly 40 parsecs from Coruscant. Heavily urbanized, Carratos was subjugated by the Galactic Empire around 10 BBY. The Empire established a heavy garrison and trapped its residents with high taxes for departure. When the Empire collapsed and the garrison withdrew, Carratos spiraled into crime and became home to many pirates.
