Cass was a Human male military officer in the service of the Galactic Empire aboard the first Death Star.

BiographyEdit

He was a high-level communications officer and was entrusted with extremely sensitive information and communications between the Death Star and the Imperial government. Because of this, he was part of the Death Star command, and had a seat at its conference table. He was the officer who reported to Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin that the Rebel base on Dantooine was long-deserted. Cass died on the Death Star when it was destroyed during the Battle of Yavin.

Behind the scenesEdit

Although Cass is sometimes identified as a general by fan-created sources, [1] he is only referred to in canon as "Imperial Officer Cass" or "Officer Cass," and his exact rank remains unknown. Unlike most characters whose names are known in the script, Officer Cass does not have an article in the Databank, nor is it known who was the actor that played him.
