Castilon was an ocean planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, near Wild Space.[1] It was the homeworld of the Chelidae species.[6] The Colossus—an aircraft refueling station, as well as a destination for racers—was located on Castilon,[3] along with several other inhabited structures.[1] During the cold war between the New Republic and the First Order, Resistance Commander Poe Dameron sent the pilot-turned-spy Kazuda Xiono on a mission to Castilon.[3]

HistoryEdit

During the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire built a super tanker fuel depot on the planet. After the Empire's fall, the platform became known as the Colossus. It came to be owned by Captain Imanuel Doza, and fostered a vibrant racing circuit. The Colossus became famous throughout the galaxy for its racing. By 34 ABY, Doza lived in the platform's tower with his daughter, Torra.[3]

Late in the cold war, the First Order became interested in using the Colossus as a staging area.[7] However, Captain Doza refused to place the platform under First Order control,[5] although he did try to keep relations with them cordial.[9] So the First Order began staging pirate attacks against the platform, in an attempt to covertly pressure Doza into eventually inviting the First Order to take over the Colossus for security reasons.[7] In the same year, the Resistance, suspecting that the First Order had a spy on the platform, sent in one of their own, the newly-recruited Kazuda Xiono, on a mission to the Colossus to try and identify what the First Order wanted. Xiono was accompanied by Commander Poe Dameron's astromech droid, BB-8.[3]
