Catapults were tracked artillery vehicles used by the Wookiees on the planet Kashyyyk. Heavy Catapults were their upgraded versions. Two Catapults under the command of Attichitcuk joined with a Rebel Alliance strike force to recover a Jedi artifact, the Vor'Na'Tu, soon after the Battle of Yavin in 0 ABY. The vehicles also saw action during the liberation of Kashyyyk in 4 ABY. They were constructed at factories at a cost of 50 units of carbon and 90 units of nova crystals. The Catapults were armed with one energy cannon and the Heavy Catapults with two.

Behind the scenesEdit

Catapults and Heavy Catapults appear in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The campaign was later included in its 2002 expansion pack. An image of a Catapult was used to represent the "artillery" unit in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Prima's Official Strategy Guide
