Are we going to continue to expand the galleries section? How about galleries for the major planets (including landscapes, planetary maps, points of interest etc), starships (Millennium Falcon, X-wing and variants etc) or individual characters? The articles don't leave much room for many images, but separate galleries would, I think, be a great way of expanding upon the entries we have - Kwenn 09:51, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)

- OK, I'll start up some galleries. But what should they be called? Currently we have a 'Gallery of...' prefix on these pages, but that won't work for everything; 'Gallery of Mustafar', 'Gallery of Luke Skywalker' etc. How about 'Gallery of (Name) Images' or '(Subject) Gallery'? Just so we get some kind of standard for these pages - Kwenn 12:57, 6 Jan 2006 (UTC)
- I might be six months late, but this is a terrible idea. Images in galleries is not only a waste of bandwidth but also exposes us to risk. It is easier to claim a fair use defense when images are used in articles, but not when they are simply being displayed. --SparqMan 14:45, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

If you're adding images to galleries, please try and keep them in order, and add captions/sources! There's no point in adding a bunch of images to a gallery with no explaination or source - Kwenn 20:46, 15 Jan 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Toys and Merchandise
Should we add merchandise images to relevant galleries? We could create a "Collecting" section and add images under that. Merchandise as a whole seems to be poorly represented here, so I think it might be a welcome addition. It would also be an easy way of documenting the various types of merchandise based on any given subject over the years - Kwenn 16:01, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Why has the Gallery of Jedi suddenly disappeared from Wookieepedia? Yet there is still a Gallery of Dark Jedi? CC 0019 08:10, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
