BiographyEdit

"When the call came, Master Vookto returned immediately and took command of an army, without hesitation or question, and led ably."
―Mace Windu[src]

A Force-sensitive Duros, Cei Vookto was educated in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order, eventually attaining the rank of Jedi Master. True to his heritage as a Duros, Master Vookto enjoyed to travel, embarking on long journey missions along the Outer Rim Territories with his first Padawan, and rarely frequenting the Coruscant Jedi Temple. When he did return, he told stories of his adventures to any Jedi who would listen; many of his listeners remarked on his quiet voice, colored by dry humor.[1]

On one of his trips to the Temple, Master Vookto selected the young Human Initiate Dama Montalvo as his second Padawan after raising his first to Knighthood. During their time together, the Clone Wars erupted between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and Master Vookto immediately responded to the Jedi High Council's call to arms. Taking up the rank of General, Master Vookto led his clone troopers ably and was well respected. Leading the battle on Lianna, Master Vookto was killed during the fighting, his body later recovered by the Republic. With the battle having subsided, Masters Mace Windu, Tholme, Quinlan Vos, and Grand Master Yoda gathered with Padawan Montalvo around Master Vookto's funeral pyre in a ruined stone rotunda. Reading out Vookto's funeral rites, Master Windu lit the pyre and the group stood in reflection as Vookto's body was cremated.[1]
