Celebration VI was a Star Wars Celebration fan convention held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida between August 23 and August 26, 2012. The convention returned to Orlando due to the success of Celebration V in 2010. Celebration VI was first revealed in late May 2011 when a teaser website was created for guests to sign up for updates. In early June, the website was updated to reveal the date and venue. An upcoming talk show, Star Wars: Transmission, was announced in the first day of the fan convention. In addition, several T-shirts made by the women's clothing company Her Universe (which was headed by Ashley Eckstein, who also voiced Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: The Clone Wars) were released as souvenirs for the event, which included two tank tops representing the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, and a Mara Jade–style T-shirt. A sterling-silver charm styled after R2-D2. Each item had only 300 units available for distribution, 50 of which were online. Celebrity guests included Ben Burtt, Jake Lloyd (the actor who played young Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace), Ian McDiarmid, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Temuera Morrison, and Mark Hamill.

One event included an "Archive Party" hosted by the Star Wars merchandise fansite Star Wars Collectors Archive. Some merchandise included joke invitations relating to manatees and other related aquatic mammals called "Manatee Man" (referencing the name of a character from A New Hope), "The Sea Cows Strike Back" (with "4LOManatee," parodying the character 4-LOM, although the design implied that it was actually supposed to be Zuckuss, in a reference to the vintage Kenner toy line switching the two names), "Return of the Manati" (with "Manatee Face"), and a collector's coin depicting a manatee.

The audio drama Star Wars: Smuggler's Gambit was performed at Celebration VI.

Celebration VI store merchandise included a Piggy Bank modelled after a Gammorean Guard; a talking plush Admiral Ackbar doll; a 2013 Calendar showing retro-style Star Wars artwork made by David Craig; a Whoopie Cushion styled after Jar Jar Binks; an Imperial corporate logo journal; a set of salt and pepper shakers modeled after a stormtrooper and Sith Lord Darth Vader; a basket set of four baby Ewok dolls; limited-edition six-inch resin maquettes of Mara Jade, Quintin Vos, Darth Bane, and a Death Trooper (Blackwing Virus–infected stormtrooper); a Mos Eisley spaceport t-shirt; a Jabba the Hutt–style soft knit cap; a T-shirt based on previously unused sketch concept art for Return of the Jedi; a Tatooine postage stamp art T-shirt; and a VaderAde T-shirt depicting Darth Vader's arm gripping a drink canister with a red fluid as well as the VaderAde container itself.

Some artwork released by Dave Dorman was also issued for Celebration VI. In addition, 600 square feet in the Exhibition Hall were dedicated to an exhibit of various Star Wars memorabilia hosted by Rancho Obi-Wan, a non-profit museum that hosted the largest private collection of Star Wars memorabilia, including rare discarded items from development of the films and even fan-made items.

Besides Star Wars–related things, one event was a eulogy given by Mark Hamill regarding the Batman villain the Joker.[1]
