The Council of Elders was the ruling body of the planet of Cerea in the time of the Galactic Republic. It comprised several members that thought out issues very thoroughly before making a judgment on them. Open discussion was allowed on matters concerning politics and legal issues, but after a decision, the resolution was finalized and no changes or appeals could be made.

The council decided during the Clone Wars to not join either the Republic nor the Confederacy of Independent Systems for fear of contamination and commercial exploitation of their planet.

Elders included Nar-Somo-Dali and Dorr-Femi-Bonmi.
