Cetaceans were aquatic mammals.^[1] Both the Porporite^[2] and Herglic species were sentient cetaceans.^[3] Non-sentient cetacean species included the aiwha of Kamino and Naboo. These creatures filtered food through the sieve-plates in their baleen, a common trait among cetacean species.^[4]
