Chak hearts were bits of bark from the Spirit Tree of Endor.
Description
Chak hearts were little more than a bits of bark from the Spirit Tree with hearts drawn on them. They were symbols of the Ewok Festival of Love. During the Festival of Love festivities of 1.5 ABY, spacers performed various deeds, such as participating in matchmaking between couples, bundling love cards for Ewok children, and helping a disillusioned love sage re-discover the true meaning love. By completing these tasks, spacers were awarded Chak hearts which could be turned in for a variety of gifts.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, Ewok Chak hearts were tokens awarded to players who performed various deeds during the Festival of Love celebrations. They were introduced to the game during the Festival of Love of 2009. They could be used to purchase a number of items, including chocolate fountains, love crossbows, paintings, and more. Chark hearts were once again used during subsequent Festival of Love celebrations in 2010 and 2011.
