Chalacta

Chalacta was a Mid Rim world represented in the Galactic Senate by Yudrish Sedran. The Chalactans were a well-known, baseline Human culture, though were so distinct, that they were considered Near-Humans. They were dark-haired, dark-skinned, and deeply spiritual. They were known for the Chalactan Adepts, who built many temples for their religion.

Depa Billaba's accent is observed as sounding Indian. Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, implying that natives of the planet have an accent similar to real-world India, coupled with other attributes such as dark-skinned, dark-haired, and of a highly spiritual reputation.

On Earth, Chalacta was an ancient town on the north coast of Sicily.
