The Chandrila Skies was a space-capable light assault vehicle used in 40 ABY in the Galactic Alliance mission against Corellia code-named Operation Roundabout.
Produced by Uulshos Manufacturing, the Chandrila Skies was classed as a "light assault vehicle", a designation that had previously denoted military landspeeders and repulsorlift armored cars, most famously Uulshos' own Chariot; in effect, it was a light armored vehicle with its own built-in orbital-drop capability, and its heritage was indicated by a bow structure that echoed that of the classic Chariot, tapering to a sharp horizontal edge ahead of the cockpit.
Slightly over 12.5 meters long, Chandrila Skies could carry around a dozen passengers, and its purpose in Operation Roundabout was to pick up the Jedi commandos of Team Purella and Team Tauntaun, operating in Coronet City. Operating under Second Fleet control, the shuttle was assigned to the Jedi group designated Team Womp Rat, along with the ten Jedi-piloted XJ6 X-wing starfighters of Hardpoint Squadron, led by Luke Skywalker.
However, the Corellians were expecting the Alliance attack, and Chandrila Skies and her crew became was the first combat losses of the Second Galactic Civil War, destroyed by flak fire in the opening moments of the battle, and forcing Purella-Tauntaun to improvise their own extraction.
