Charls Ginsbrack was a scientist who was affiliated with the Rebel Alliance. During the Galactic Civil War, he led a scientific team on the isolated moon of Barcola, that was trying to develop new hyperdrive technology to aid the Alliance's war effort. Ginsbrack was killed when he was sucked into a hyperdimensional whirlpool that was generated by the new hyperdrive.
