Checkpoint Alpha was a staging area the soon to become 501st Legion set up near a downed Techno Union ship during the Battle of Geonosis. The clone troopers deployed medical and ammo droids near the area to help with the battle. When a Clone jet trooper found a valuable holocron dropped by a dead Geonosian, he was ordered by his superiors to drop it off at Checkpoint Alpha.
