Checkpoint Alpha was a staging area the 501st set up near the downed Techno Union ship during the Battle of Geonosis. The clone troopers deployed medical and ammo droids near the area to help with the battle. When a Jet trooper found a valuable holocron dropped by a dead Geonosian, he was ordered by his supperiors to drop it off at Checkpoint Alpha.
