Chelik was a niece of Ta'a Chume, the older sister of Alyssia, and an aspiring Queen Mother of Hapes. In 27 ABY, as the reigning Queen Mother, Teneniel Djo, was rapidly losing influence, Chelik was one of the numerous nobles to attempt to take the throne for herself. However, her daughter attempted to assassinate Prince Isolder, one of the many factors that contributed to Tenel Ka Djo taking the throne.
