A small sect of members of the Chevin[1] species[2] existed[1] by 3646 BBY.[3] That year, the sect made a pilgrimage to a nameless blue sun for an ancient ritual, a tradition they upheld every three years. The pilgrim sect possessed an ancient stronghold and a sacred idol, the latter of which had certain practices related to it.[1]
By 3643 BBY,[3] an individual affiliated with one of the two warring governments in the ongoing Cold War between the Galactic Republic and reconstituted Sith Empire had a companion of theirs follow the sect on their pilgrimage to learn their history. The Chevin welcomed the companion and at the end of the pilgrimage showed them into the stronghold, where the sect instructed them in the idol's ways and offered aid.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Chevin sect was mentioned in the Crew Skill Mission "Pilgrimage" in the 2011 BioWare video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, though the information regarding the mission's outcome was later removed from the game.[1]

- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Per the reasoning here, Act I of Star Wars: The Old Republic takes place around 3643 BBY. Since players of The Old Republic can assign their companions on the mission "Pilgrimage" independently of the main class storyline at any point during the game, the mission must take place at some point around 3643 BBY. Furthermore, as the sect visits the blue sun every three years, they existed by at least 3646 BBY.
