"Children of the Force" is a comic that appeared in Star Wars Tales 13 and was collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 4 and Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Rise of the Sith Vol. 1.
Plot summary[]
Depa Billaba voices her conflicted thoughts to Mace Windu regarding her first Jedi extraction. Immediately afterwards Windu thwarts Vianna D'Pow during her attempt to kidnap one of the infant Jedi on behalf of its parents. Only a message that Windu had recently received convinces her to leave the child with the Jedi, who returns it to its parents.
Continuity[]
- The comic shows Mace Windu taken from his parents as an infant by a Jedi in a flashback and that his parents wished to contact him despite they knew it was forbidden. However, the novel Shatterpoint released a year later stated that Mace Windu was an orphan when the Jedi took him to Coruscant.[3]
