Chirgotta was an intestinal parasite that caused illness in many species throughout Galaxy. The Galactic Chirgotta Awareness Council was formed to heighten the public awareness of Chirgotta and to encourage good intestinal hygiene.

The Chirgotta is mentioned in the mission "Chirgotta Awareness Council Grant" which is available at Entertainer Mission Terminals in Star Wars Galaxies. A booking agent hires the player to perform at a certain location to promote the council's goals.
