Cinda Tarheel was a Human female starfighter pilot who served with the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Assigned to Rogue Squadron under the command of Luke Skywalker, she flew a T-65 X-wing starfighter. After serving as a snowspeeder gunner during the Battle of Hoth, she was stationed at the Rebel base known as Salvation, located on the world of Arbra, and held the rank of captain.

BiographyEdit

Tarheel, a native of Socorro, was a smuggler prior to joining the Rebel Alliance. The rash, fast-talking pilot often found her way out of her reckless combat decisions with her quick reflexes. At Echo Base on Hoth, Tarheel served as gunner for pilot Nala Hetsime onboard their snowspeeder, designated Rogue Seven. Both survived the battle. After the evacuation of Echo Base, Tarheel eventually moved to the new base on Arbra.

In 3 ABY, Captain Tarheel attended Commander Skywalker on a mission to the planet, Serphidi in the Belial system. The planet’s ruler, King S'Shah had aligned himself with the Galactic Empire and Rogue Squadron was sent to the planet on a fact-finding mission. As the Rebels approached the planet, a squad of Imperial TIE Fighters emerged and attacked them. One of them shredded Tarheel's S-foil and her ship went down into the planet's atmosphere. She was forced to crash-land on the top of a mountain butte on the surface. Tarheel’s expert piloting skills succeeded in saving her life, but there was little hope of salvaging her X-wing. Commander Skywalker and pilot Berl landed to check on her.

A group of lizard-mounted Serp warriors emerged from the forests and attacked the Rebel pilots. They killed Berl with a laser-lance blast to the mid-section and took Captain Tarheel prisoner. The Serps brought her back to the castle of King S'Shah. S’Shah had Tarheel thrown into a dungeon with the intent of turning her into a delicacy soon after. Cinda fought back against her captors and managed to briefly escape from the dungeon, but S’Shah himself intercepted her and returned her to her cell.

Soon after, S'Shah met his end at the hands of Luke Skywalker. A Republic-friendly Serp named Elglih was crowned the new king of Serphidi. His first order of business was to set all of S'Sha's prisoners, including Captain Tarheel, free.

Physical appearanceEdit

Captain Cinda Tarheel was an attractive young woman with long, black hair. She wore the standard-issue X-wing flight suit and carried a BlasTech E-11 blaster rifle.
