The Circarpous Major system, or the Circarpous system, contained fourteen planets.

While many of the system's inhabitants were sympathetic to the cause of the Rebellion, they were afraid to become involved and risk the wrath of the Empire.

The planet Mimban, also known as Circarpous V, was located in this system. The system was centered around Circarpous Major.

The Circarpous system was invaded and occupied by the Yuuzhan Vong, during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Their Fire Breathers obtained swamp gas from Mimban for use in the Gyndine invasion.
