The Citadel Challenge was a training program on Kamino used to train the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic prior to and during the Clone Wars.
Description[]
The complex itself consisted of simulated battlefields. Through the use of adjustable repulsor floor plates and atmosphere generators, the complex could easily replicate a variety of environments and terrains. It was also able to create crude stadiums for the demonstration of combat skills.[1] The challenge was named after the deadly Separatist prison, the Citadel.[2]
History[]
Around 21 BBY,[3] Jedi General Shaak Ti was sent to Kamino to oversee the training of clone troopers. The Citadel Challenge was created to test clone cadet squads to see whether or not the clones were ready to be sent into battle.[1]
Some squads, such as Bravo Squad, excelled at the challenge. But others, such as Domino Squad, were not as fortunate. Being unable to function together as a team, the squad would continue to fail the training assignment. But after overcoming each other's differences, the members of Domino Squad were able to overcome the Citadel Challenge and pass their final test.[1]
