Class Type B escort shuttles were transports used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. At least one Type B shuttle was captured by the Galactic Republic.

Around 21 BBY,[2] Shuttle 81572, a Class Type B escort shuttle, was used by a Jedi elite team led by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and clone trooper officers Rex and Cody to liberate Jedi Master Even Piell, who was being held captive in the Citadel on Lola Sayu.[1] Though the mission was partially successful, the shuttle was destroyed in the attempt by Confederate battle droids.[1]
