A class three carbon-freezing chamber was a common type of carbon-freezing chamber. One such chamber, located in Cloud City on Bespin, was used to freeze Han Solo as a test by Darth Vader, with the intention of using it to capture Luke Skywalker. The chamber was later the scene of the first duel between Vader and Skywalker.
