The Cleansing of Korriban was a skirmish near the end of the Great Hunt. Five days after the Cleansing of Tatooine, the Jedi Enclave of Dantooine announced the end of the Hunt. However, two days later, they secretly assigned three Jedi Knights - Guun Han Saresh, Shaela Nuur, and Duron Qel-Droma - on a mission to destroy the terentateks of Korriban and Kashyyyk. It went wrong from the start; Qel-Droma was killed by one of the beasts, and his lover Nurr refused to leave his body. Saresh believed that the bond they shared would draw her to the dark side, and departed to Kashyyyk, where he was killed. Nuur committed suicide by going against multiple terentateks on her own, not wishing to live after the death of her beloved.

In 3,956 BBY, the remains of Nuur and Qel-Droma were discovered by Revan. He then finished off the job that they had started.
