"Here's where you can find the Cobral hideout. Go out there and give them everything you've got!"
―A commoner, to a spacer[2]

The Cobral Hideout was a fortified bunker located a short distance south of the city Restuss on Naboo's swamp moon of Rori during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

History[]

"A small-time gang of thieves, the Cobral. Their hideout can be found on Rori. Unfortunately, I have little information to give you about them. Search their hideout and find any data connected to the exchange of Jabba's assassin into Imperial hands."
Yondalla, to a spacer[3]

By the time of the Battle of Yavin, the base was the headquarters of the Neo-Cobral space pirates,[1] a gang of smugglers and black market dealers who once controlled the planet Frego.[4] The Neo-Cobrals had forged Imperial documents to get a hold of this fortress.[2]

In 1 ABY,[5] a commoner in Narmle intended to recruit adventurers to assault the Cobral Hideout and eliminate the Cobral Overlord who was seeking the domination of the moon.[2]

The same year, Jabba the Hutt dispatched an assassin to eliminate the scientist leading the Kahmurra Biogenetic Research Station on Talus but the assassin failed in his mission and was captured. Jabba's lieutenant Yondalla later recruited a spacer to recover a CorSec prisoner transfer document in the Kahmurra Biogenetic Research Station.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Cobral Hideout was a location in the 2003 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided,[1] prior to the game's closure on December 15, 2011.[6]

  5. According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
