Coh Veshiv was an Imperial Advisor.
Biography
Edit
He had overall responsibility for Bormea sector, Darpa sector, and the Ringali Shell. A fat, ugly and unhealthy man, he was likewise unpleasant in personality. He rose to the heights of power based on his mastery of the arts of extortion, blackmail and infochanting. Palpatine selected him for his Inner Circle based on this facility, and because he enjoyed Veshiv's malice and corruption. Only Darth Vader, Ysanne Isard, and Sate Pestage escaped his snares of lies and secrets.

He often traveled from Coruscant on "fact-finding" missions, and to ferry private messages back and forth to the Imperial Court. However, in 0 ABY, his data showed that one of the Grand Admirals was embroiled in some sort of embezzlement. Unfortunately for Veshiv, he had in fact discovered the Grand Admiral's secret starfighter research project, endorsed by Palpatine and concealed from other courtiers to keep the work absolutely secret. Consequently, he was sent on a pointless junket through various Core worlds.
Offended that his duties would be supported only by a CR90 corvette, the Empire Forever, Veshiv readily believed the Far Orbit at Esseles when the privateer vessel claimed to be taking over as his transport.
The privateers then surrendered their surprised prisoner to the Rebel Alliance, claiming a ransom of 10,000 credits.
Shortly thereafter, Veshiv's death was reported on Imperial HoloVision. The Empire claimed he had died when his shuttle was destroyed in an unexpected asteroid collision.
