Coil-Cell Needlers were a variety of blaster pistol available during the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. In the year 3643 BBY, the Arcona smuggler known as "Lefty" Grandarak owned a pistol of this make, although he was willing to give it away to an upcoming young smuggler. The pistols were bronze in color and could be sold for 105. Parts of the pistol were modifiable, including its barrel and color crystal.
Behind the scenesEdit
Coil-Cell Needlers first appeared in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a MMORPG released by BioWare in 2011. In the game, the blasters are only usable by members of the smuggler class, who are given them as a reward for the quest "Advanced Training: Smuggler," provided they choose the gunslinger advanced class. The quest can be completed by talking to Grandarak either on the planet Coruscant or while on Carrick Station. This article makes no assumption about where the quest is completed or what advanced class is chosen.
