The commander's glider, sometimes known simply as the glider, was a hyperdrive-equipped shuttle.
History

These shuttles were carried aboard Chiss capital ships, for the personal use of the senior officer aboard. It was the only long-range shuttle assigned as standard to starships of the class represented by Chaf Envoy.
Because Chaf Envoy was a diplomatic ship, her glider was assigned to Aristocra Formbi rather than Captain Talshib, and was used by the Aristocra to pick up Dean Jinzler from a rendezvous with Jorj Car'das.
