Communications Officer, or COMMO for short, was a title held by beings who operated and controlled communications, be it aboard a starship[3] or at a ground base.[2] During a space battle, the COMMO's main job was to monitor transmissions between ships of the fleet.[3]
The human Ives served as an Imperial communications officer on board the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Vigilance during the Battle of Endor.[5] Major Taslin Brance served as a communications officer at the Resistance base on D'Qar during the Cold war.[2]
