Conductor towers were the transmitters which created the Omega Frost effect. The effect happened between two of the towers, with no overflow. The original towers used on the planet of Tatooine were smaller than the behemoths used in the Asteroid Corridor. The latter were equipped with their own force field generators, although the fields did not extend below ground.
