The Confiscation Authority was the body that controlled the impounds on various prison worlds maintained by the Galactic Republic. Each of the several prison worlds had its own branch of the Confiscation Authority, which oversaw the impounding of goods obtained during criminal investigations and arrests at various Confiscation Stations.
