Control receptors, also known as signal receivers, were devices with which remotes could interact to turn on or off a vidwall. In 43 ABY the heir to the Hapan throne, Allana Solo used a remote and a control receptor to turn on her families vidwall to watch The Perre Needmo Newshour, a news show, with her grandfather Han Solo in their families' apartment. After viewing the show for a short time however Han asked his granddaughter to turn off their vidwall using a remote, prompting her to aim the remote at the control receptor and switch off the viewing device.[1]
Behind the scenes
A Control receptor first appeared in the 2009 novel Fate of the Jedi: Abyss which was written by Troy Denning as the third instalment in the Fate of the Jedi series.
