The Cooperative Council of Independent Planetary Governments was an organization formed following the Diversity Alliance crisis of 24 ABY to promote peace and cooperation between the different species of the New Republic.

The Council's charter included an agreement to work for the good of all species and the detriment of none.
The Council received support from various individuals and groups including the Hapes Consortium which offered financial resources. Bornaryn Trading's new CEO Aryn Dro Thul also placed the company's trading fleet at the disposal of the Council while her brother Tyko Thul offered the resources of his droid foundries on Mechis III. Whether the Council survived past the devastating Yuuzhan Vong War and became part of the successor Galactic Alliance is currently unknown.
