Boss Copek was the leader of the Gungan city of Otoh Urs nearly 3,000 years before the Invasion of Naboo.

During the effort to unite the Gungan villages and defeat Boss Rogoe in the War of Gungan Tribes, Boss Gallo approached Boss Copek, asking for assistance. Copek agreed, but only if Gallo promised to destroy the bursas that Rogoe had been using to attack his village. When Gallo wiped out the bursas, with help from reinforcements sent by Boss Tenko and Boss Hantic, Copek agreed to lend the support of his troops.
