Corellia Star was a YT-1300 light freighter.

Her pilot was aware of the Empire's secret weapons project, the TIE Phantom. Being sympathetic to the Rebels, he decided to offer his inside information. When he approached Dreighton, he tried to warn two Rebel B-wings that flew in that system, while Imperial troops boarded the Corellia, which was then captured and held in the Imperial base on the planet. The pilot was seen getting shot during his distress call, and it is presumed that both he and his crew perished.
The distress call was not clearly received, so the two Rebel ships approached the planet to find out what happened. The leader, Kirby, was blown out of the air, but the other, Rookie One, managed to eject. Having no other means to escape the planet, Rookie entered the base and fighting his way through, reached the Corellia Star. He escaped the base by flying through mining tunnels and delivered it to the Alliance fleet.
The pilot's message was then played by Admiral Ackbar and it was discovered that it spoke about the secret Imperial activity in the Belt of Arah as well as Darth Vader's new weapon.
