The Corellian-class cruiser was a class of warship used by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.[1]

[edit] Characteristics
The Corellian-class was a large type of vessel, being described with a term used for Imperial Star Destroyer[5] and Star Cruiser-size ships.[6]
[edit] History
Although most famous for their civilian market vessels, the shipyards at Corellia also produced some Imperial warships[3] like the Corellian-class.[7] Han Solo boasted about outrunning these vessels, which were evidently larger and quicker than the bulk cruisers that were part of local Imperial forces in the Arkanis sector.[1]
[edit] Behind the scenes
Although they are among the first capital ships ever mentioned in Star Wars, the "big, Corellian ships", aka Corellian-class cruisers, have so far gone undescribed in the Expanded Universe. One possible candidate is the flagship used by Admiral Mils Giel in two issues of the old Marvel Star Wars comic books. It had a docking module that followed the Corellian standard, but was otherwise not described in any way. Another possibility may be the Corellian battleships referred to in the Return of the Jedi novelization.
Given the use of "star cruiser" to describe ships as large as the Executor, the size of the Corellian star cruisers mentioned in Imperial service would be somewhere in between 600m and 19km.
