In approximately 472 BBY, the Core World of Corellia attempted to secede from the Galactic Republic to become an independent system. The leaders of the independence movement went as far as invoking Contemplanys Hermi, which withdrew its membership from the Galactic Senate. Ultimately, the attempt failed and Corellia rejoined the Republic.
