Corey Burton is a voice actor who first got involved in radio dramas during his teenage years.
He worked on western radio dramas. In the late '70s there was a rebirth of classic radio drama. It was first sponsored by Sears, and then became Mutual Radio Theater. He first got involved with the Star Wars universe, in the year of 1979, at age 25. He played the voice-role of Luke Skywalker for a 1979 Disney Read-Along book/record retelling the story of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope. A year later he provided the voice for Rebel pilot Derek Klivian for Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
During this session, he met Mark Hamill, who asked Burton to sign the Star Wars Read-Along record as "Luke 2". Years later, he would return to the Star Wars Universe to play Count Dooku and San Hill in the Clone Wars animated series. He reprised his role as Dooku in several LucasArts video games, including Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. He played Whorm Loathsom and Ziro the Hutt in the Star Wars The Clone Wars movie; however, he did not play Count Dooku, as Dooku was played by Christopher Lee, who played Dooku in the prequel trilogy. He is the official "audio double" for the character portrayed by Christopher Lee.
Corey also provides the voice of Cad Bane in The Clone Wars animated series. He is a fan of James Earl Jones and claims to enjoy playing villains.
