The planet Corjain was located within the system of the same name in the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories, just off the Trition Trade Route. Barely habitable, the planet supported a large mining industry, with all settlements located deep underground. During the Galactic Civil War, the planet was also the location of a secret outpost maintained by the Bothan Spynet.

Description[]

Corjain was a planet in the Corjain system, located off the Trition Trade Route in the Kathol sector[2] of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was connected via hyperlane to the Kolatill, Oon Tien and Charis systems. Transit from Corjain to Kolatill took five hours, eleven hours to reach Oon Tien, and fourteen hours to arrive at Charis. Marginally habitable, Corjain's atmosphere was harsh and poisonous, requiring all settlements to be built deep underground. However, the planet was rich in metals and ores, resulting in large scale mining operations. Deep mines covered the planet, and the metals and ores extracted provided a large amount of income for the local mining guilds. The planet was also the location of a secret listening post run by the Bothan Spynet during the Galactic Civil War that was established without the knowledge of the New Republic's government.[2]

Inhabitants[]

Corjain maintained a sizable population, made up primarily of communities of Humans, Jarells, and Svivreni. A number of Bothans also lived on the planet, manning their secret listening post.[2]

Locations[]

The Bothan outpost on the planet was used as a listening post and patrol base where the staff kept tabs on the mission conducted by the modified New Republic CR90 corvette FarStar[2] to track down Imperial warlord Moff Kentor Sarne—who had fled his capital of Kal'Shebbol in the wake of a New Republic assault.[4] The outpost was also used to monitor the provisional New Republic government installed on Kal'Shebbol following its liberation by New Republic forces.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Corjain was described in The DarkStryder Campaign, a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games in 1995.
