"We're going to need to scatter far and wide. The Corporate Sector's probably our safest bet."
―Berch Teller advises his rebel cell to scatter to the Corporate Sector[src]

The Corporate Sector was a sector of the galaxy. Around five years after the end of the Clone Wars, technologies that had previously belonged to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars due to the Trade Federation who began showing up in the sector in the years before. When a warship constructed from old Separatist vessels attacked the Imperial facility Sentinel Base, the base's commander, Moff Wilhuff Tarkin suspected the ship might have orginated from the Corporate Sector. When Tarkin later traveled to the Imperial capital Coruscant, some speculated he was going to be sent on a mission to the sector to hunt down Separatist recidivists. Berch Teller, the leader of a rebel cell that was responsible for the theft of Tarkin's personal corvette Carrion Spike, suggested his fellow rebels flee to the Corporate Sector after completing their series of attacks on Imperial facilities with the Corvette.[1]

Thirty years after the Battle of Endor, the Corporate Sector was still known to be controlled by the Corporate Sector Authority (CSA). The Resistance leader General Leia Organa received intelligence that the First Order was channeling large sums of money to the New Republic Senator Erudo Ro-Kiintor's accounts through shells and third-party corporations with the connivance of the CSA. Ro-Kiintor was secretly aiding the First Order by delaying or sabotaging various motions that would sanction the First Order or increase support to the Republic Navy.[2]
