The Coruscant Star of Valor was one of the first medals that was issued by the New Republic^[1] , first struck in 7 ABY. It commemorated the participants of the First Battle of Coruscant^[1] and was declared to be the highest honor that could be given for valor by the developing government.

The first recipients of the award were the members of Rogue Squadron, which included Asyr Sei'lar.
