The Coruscant equatorial belt was an area of the planet Coruscant in the Core worlds^[1] region. In the year 20 BBY the area was considered prestigious by the Sakiyan Republic navy Admiral Tarnese Bleyd who planned to purchase and apartment at the top of a monad in the equatorial belt using money from working with the Black Sun criminal organization.^[2]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Coruscant equatorial belt first appeared in MedStar I: Battle Surgeons, the first novel in the MedStar Duology, written by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry and published in 2004.^[2]
