A corvaj was a predator that inhabited a jungle. One of them killed the cadet pilot Calson when he crash-landed into a jungle during a training patrol.

It is unknown what planet a corvaj is native to. Since Calson's training patrol was during the training of Ranna Gorjaye, it may have been Salliche or Raithal.
