The Council of Galactic Rights was a legislative body that existed on Coruscant during the time of Palpatine's Galactic Empire. Leia Organa, the Imperial senator from Alderaan, addressed the council shortly before the Battle of Yavin condemning the New Order's humanocentrism and slavery policies.
