The Covert Activities Cadre was formed by House Melantha, rulers of the Melantha Province in the Tapani Sector, to secretly further the interests of the house. The most well known operative of the Cadre was Janos Marsh, who served on scout vessel Bright Seeker, belonging to House Calipsa. Marsh was working to keep House Calipsa from locating a new trade route.
