A crab was a type of arthropod crustacean caracterized by its great pincers, carapace and characteristic six-legged movement similar to the Sauvax's.

Known crabs include the Sink crab of Bestine IV^[1][2][3] the hitcher crab from Sevarcos II^[4][5] and the vonduun crab used by the Yuuzhan Vong.^[6][7][8][9] The LM-432 droid was nicknamed "crab" droid because of its similar shape.^[10]

Live crabs were an ingredient of crab-stuffed creampuffs, a Mon Calamari delicacy.^[11]
