Credit Denied was a short story slated to appear in the cancelled Star Wars Adventure Journal 16, written by George R. Strayton. The story synopsis was that Rendra Maex and her partner, Nopul Etrefa, run into crimelord Oro Memis and his henchman Vakir'sa'jaina at a temple. Maex's partner is killed by the thug's blasters, and Maex is forced into a deathmatch by a Weequay announcer, Pon Svale. She is chained to a pole and is about to be shot, but manages to escape.
