Critokian

Critokians were a race of two-meter tall, bipedal, sentient beings hailing from the moon Yavin 4 and the planet Critoki.

The Critokians had tentacle-like fingers to manipulate objects, as well as large claws to kill their prey. They were capable of both swimming and running extremely fast, which was useful when they were hunting prey. They had six holes on their head which were used to breathe both on land and in water, as well as to communicate through hoots and whistles. The upper portion of their head/body housed a complex nervous system whereas the lower portion contained their heart, digestive, and circulatory systems.

They lived in tribe-societies in the jungles of Yavin 4. Several Critokians were seen off of the moon, where they were known to find work as skillful bounty hunters.

Critokians were created by Ooi Say Hien, a Star Wars fan, as part of the Design An Alien contest held in the Star Wars Galaxy Magazines. The entry was picked as the overall winner in the under 16 years old category.
