Chrondre (or Crondre) was a small, icy world located in the Dufilvian sector of the Mid Rim.
The planet was colonized generations before the start of the Galactic Civil War. Its residents believed strongly in a peaceful existence until it was forcibly conquered by the Empire shortly before the destruction of the first Death Star. The planet was heavily damaged by the ongoing war.
The New Republic used the planet as a medical supply depot, designed to flash-freeze perishable medical supplies. The storage facility was located in a hollowed out glacier, similar to Echo Base on Hoth. A series of Fabritech shield generators protected the facility from attack, as well as a v-150 Planet Defender ion cannon. A Golan II space station protected the world from orbit.
Crondre was the site of a diversionary attack by the forces of Grand Admiral Thrawn, whose real target was Ukio, during his campaign against the New Republic.

Behind the scenes
Edit
The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly places Chrondre in the Jospro sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Additionally, Rebellion's in-game encyclopedia entry for Chrondre describes the planet as having once been beautiful before being ravaged from its involvement in the Galactic Civil War. This seems contradictory to its description as an icy world in the novel The Last Command.
